Year 1: The Spark Ignites (2015) Chasten and Macy were already friends and were talking when Homecoming rolled around. Initially, Chasten had planned to skip the dance entirely. But in a classic Chasten move, he changed his mind last minute. At Homecoming our eyes met across the crowded room, and there was an undeniable spark. As the night wore on, mutual friends brought them together on the dance floor. A few weeks later, after Chasten's football game, Chasten asked Macy to be his girlfriend.

Years 2-4: Building a Foundation (2016-2018) During a couple of years filled with high school dances, shared family holidays, and spontaneous adventures, Chasten and Macy's relationship blossomed. This early foundation proved invaluable when they faced the challenges of a long-distance relationship as Macy attended UW-Eau Claire and Chasten went to UW-La Crosse.

Years 4-6: Our Love Grows Stronger (2019-2021) During these years, Chasten and Macy navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship, making the most of their time together whenever possible. Even as they faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, their love deepened. Spending quality time with their families and each other during this period brought new perspectives and strengthened their bond. Both Chasten and Macy also built strong support systems of new friends, who enriched their relationship with fresh viewpoints and shared experiences.

In 2021, Chasten and Macy returned to Wisconsin Rapids. Chasten quickly secured a position at WoodTrust Bank, providing financial stability for their future. With shared dreams and aspirations, he purchased a house as a foundation for their life together. They embarked on the exciting project of transforming the house into a home, their collaboration deepening their bond as they created a space that reflected their shared vision. Macy had been planning to pursue a master's degree in occupational therapy, and both were thrilled when she was accepted to UW-La Crosse. While they were excited about the new adventure, it also meant another period of long-distance. Despite the challenge, their previous experience equipped them to face it head-on. As Macy focused on her studies, Chasten poured his energy into creating a welcoming home, eagerly anticipating their reunion.

Year 8: Forever Stars Now (2024) Chasten had been planning the proposal for what felt like forever. He wanted to do something special, something Macy would never forget. When she came home for Christmas break, he knew the time was right. Under the guise of a work party at Sand Valley, he began orchestrating the perfect proposal. Macy wasn’t thrilled about the work party, but she agreed to attend. Little did she know, Chasten had enlisted the help of family and friends to create a magical evening. As they arrived at the Lido Clubhouse, Macy was surprised to find an intimate setting rather than a crowded event. Chasten got down on one knee and asked Macy to be his wife. Her answer was a resounding yes, marking the beginning of their happily ever after. Fast forward to today, and Chasten and Macy are planning their special day. They’re incredibly excited to celebrate their love with family and friends and can’t wait for June 7th, 2025 to start this new chapter.
