Lucas and I have known each other since we were kids, growing up in the same church. Although Lucas was good friends with my brother Cotton, Lucas and I were never that close. However, that changed in 2019 when we went on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic with our youth group. We formed a close bond during our time there, and it became clear that we had feelings for each other.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we lost touch in 2020. But in 2022, we were asked to participate in my brother Cotton's wedding. I was so excited to be a part of my brother and best friend's wedding, and it was an unexpected bonus that Lucas and I walked together! After the wedding, we reconnected, and within a week of our first date, Lucas asked me to be his girlfriend.

In August 2023, Lucas and I went on an anniversary trip to Rhode Island. What I didn't know was that Lucas had been planning to propose to me in RI since February of 2023. And on August 19th, 2023, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

I am thrilled to embark on this adventure with the love of my life and can't wait to see what God has in store for us in the years to come.
