Our Wedding

MeetingIt all started when Chelsea's friend, Brooke, let her know about her friend Steffany's single brother who happened to live in Chicago too. After Chelsea confirmed John was fairly good looking, she decided to shoot her shot and messaged him. Chelsea and John found out shortly thereafter that they lived a block apart and could actually wave to each other from their balconies. DatingAfter a few messages back and forth, John asked Chelsea out on a first date for drinks at Bernie's followed by Green Door Tavern. The first date went so well that they decided to have date number two the very next day (Chelsea was also leaving for an extended trip to LA the following day). They continued talking during Chelsea's trip, and she decided to come back early to see what this guy was all about. John picked her up from the airport and they were off for date number three. Through the next year and a half, John and Chelsea fell in love as they explored Chicago together, went on trips around the country, and spent time with friends, family, and Tucker (formerly known as John's dog who Chelsea has since claimed as their dog). The ProposalOn May 26, 2023, John planned a "surprise birthday dinner " for Chelsea that led them to North Avenue Beach. Overlooking Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline, John asked Chelsea to marry him. After a quick and emphatic yes (and some tears), John then surprised Chelsea with an engagement party with both families and close friends in attendance. Talk about a heck of birthday present. The WeddingJohn and Chelsea cannot wait to celebrate their love with all of you on July 20th and begin their lives as husband and wife!

Chicago Riverwalk

Chicago’s 26 miles of scenic lakefront includes numerous public parks and free beaches. We recommend Oak Street Beach or North Ave Beach. Rent paddle boards, kayaks, or jet skis for water activities. Rent bikes and cruise down the Lakefront Trail, take a beachfront yoga class, play beach volleyball, or just kick back in the sand and soak in the sun and skyline views.&nbsp;

Lake Michigan

This picturesque neighborhood is a nature lover’s dream — manicured gardens, a hidden lily pond, a historic indoor botanical garden, and tons of lakefront green space with sweeping city views. It also happens to be home to one of the country’s oldest free zoos. Check out the Green City Farmers Market on Saturday mornings in the park.

Millennium Park is a can’t-miss attraction for any Chicago visit. The lakefront campus, located in the heart of downtown, is home to the iconic&nbsp;Cloud Gate statue (aka “The Bean”), interactive fountains, tranquil gardens, free events, public art, skating rinks, rock climbing, and plenty of green space.&nbsp;

The Magnificent Mile is one of the most famous shopping areas in the world — home to a dizzying array of popular stores, restaurants, attractions, and architecture all on one iconic street.
