Howdy friends and family!
We’re delighted to have you join us for our Wedding Celebration Extravaganza! Chels and I had so much fun working on the invite list and reminiscing on all of the great memories we’ve shared with each of you. We’re so looking forward to seeing all of you together in one place!
Chels and I met at a gnarly little dive bar in Dallas in 2018. While out celebrating a buddy’s brithday, I embarrasingly started flirting with one of Chel’s friends who very politely and kindly introduced me to her stunning and single friend, my future wife, Chelsea Bounds. (thanks again for that Caitlin!)
Our first date was a couple drinks at the Truckyard after work. We’ve been hanging out ever since. That first night, I was struck by Chelsea’s fun-loving attitude, intense compassion and empathy, and her loud, goofy laugh. After spending the past few years together, these are still some of my favorite things about her.
Chels and I have been through a lot together- the COVID 19 pandemic struck right after we had moved into a small apartment in Dallas. After coming back from Corey’s wedding in Cabo, Chels and I rode out the first few weeks of COVID playing backgammon, cooking elaborate meals, and laughing a lot. In 2021, Chels and I started new jobs and a new chapter in San Antonio, Texas. (Viva!) While it was an adjustment starting new jobs in a new city with no friends, we leaned a lot on each other and eventually fell in love with our new town. After countless margaritas and bean & cheese tacos, we’re now proud to call San Antonio home.
In December last year, Chelsea and I visited Aspen for a week long ski trip with some of our SA friends. In lieu of getting my ski muscles in shape, I prepped for the trip by buying the ring, met with Kirk to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage and nervously fretted over each and every small detail. A couple days into the trip, after a morning of great skiing, Chels and I rode the gondola up to the top of Ajax where I got down on a knee. As is obvious given the nature of this website, Chels said yes! We celebrated in Aspen for one more night, then stopped in Dallas on the way home to raise a toast with close friends and family.
We’re eagerly anticipating tying the knot and officially starting the rest of our life together. We’re thrilled to have you join us and we can’t wait to party with you!.
With Love,
Evan and Chelsea
