Can I stay on site?
As there are a limited number of cabins, we unfortunately cannot have everyone stay on site with us. We will be reaching out to those who are being invited to stay on site sometime in March. For those who are not able to stay on site, we have listed lodging options on the Travel page.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We love your kids, but we will not be accommodating guests under the age of 18. Enjoy a night to yourselves!
Where should I bring/send your wedding gift?
Gifts are not expected, but if you'd like to gift us something from our registry, you can have it delivered to our home or bring it to the wedding as we are not planning on having an in-state bridal shower (if one at all).
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
All wedding events will be held outside. A tent will be used for the reception, and heaters are on standby in case we end up with a chilly weekend. (You never know up in the mountains!)
What should I wear?
Think dressy-casual to semi-formal. We know this is still pretty vague, so think of it as a dressier summer dress or slacks and a polo. You may want to stay away from heels unless they're chunky or wedges as this is an outdoor wedding and you'll be walking on wood chips. Flats and sandals are also good options, whether you want to wear them the whole time or just for the reception.
Is there parking available near the wedding venue?
Yes, there is limited parking available. Please carpool if possible. Once you are parked, there are golf carts that will take you up to the ceremony site. The cocktail hour and reception are within walking distance of the ceremony site (all located at Blue Moon Rising). If you will need a ride from the ceremony site to the reception site, please let us know so we can let Blue Moon Rising know ahead of time.
What type of food will be served?
We will be having lots of yummy food throughout the wedding weekend. The day of the wedding, we will be having a cocktail reception with hors d'oeuvres, followed by dinner and a cookie table (a Pittsburgh tradition) at the reception. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know. We want you to enjoy the food as well!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, we will have an open bar that will be serving wine, beer, and specialty cocktails. If you'd like, you are welcome to bring cash to tip the bartender.
