Maria Davis (and supporting role - Ben Davis) have known me from my (likely annoying and dramatic) teenage years until now, over 20 + years of friendship and she is my number one speed dial. I wouldn't want to do this life without her. It has been a privilege and honor to walk through life with this badass wonderful woman for so many years.

Hunter and Matt met sometime in the 90's, though historians can't pinpoint a date. Since then, they matriculated through Scouting USA to both become Eagle Scouts, attended the Philmont Scout ranch, and continue to find opportunities to sneak away for a milkshake at Silver Diner

Dave and Matt met during a trip to Oregon and although Matt chose to attend the University of Tennessee, he and Dave became and have remained close despite the Army's attempts to keep them apart. We have shared cold belay ledges, warm desert sandstone towers, and terrifying acrobatic flights in a paragliding safety course. All of these experiences have reinforced the idea that its really the partners you bring into your life that shape your experiences and memories.

Avi and Chelsea met on Day 1 of Chelsea's residency at the base of the Bastille in Eldorado Canyon. While Avi loved all things trad and alpine and Chelsea all things sport and bouldering, they could be found training hard at the Baker Movement between shifts (and despite Chelsea's frequent pleas, Avi would never take her training weight GriGri off her harness while pushing herself on sport grades in the gym). Their friendship has continued through shared time in California and many trips to desert and mountains. While Dave may be the groomsman of verticality based on both height and vertical feet climbed with Matt, Avi definitely wins the most vert of the wedding party combined.

Chelsea met Taryn during medical school (Taryn's residency) in New Orleans, enjoying book clubs and eating delicious home cooked meals and learning everything DIY from Taryn. They have continued to grow together across the geographical miles with a robust WhatsApp thread and many visits to South America and the coastal United States.

Matt and Andy met way back in 2005 as members of the legendary Ranger Training Crew 4 at the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron NM. After a summer of adventures in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, they each embarked on separate paths but have always remained close, with Andy keeping an open spot on his couch in Tabernash Colorado available whenever Matt would crash through town. Tey've enjoyed many beautiful days in the mountains of Grand County Co skiing, biking, hiking and performing trail work (though most of Matt's efforts could be considered counter-productive at best.) In 2018 Matt and Andy embarked on an adventure meeting on the island of Hokkaido Japan to sample the bottomless powder the region is famous for.
