This is our favorite place to grab a bite to eat or drink, shop small and just walk around! On the weekends they have live music or sporting evens on the big screen. Birkdale Village is a social village and drinks can be ordered to go from any restaurant to take with you while you shop! This is only a 0.7 mile distance from the hotel!

The Whitewater Center is currently comprised of over 1,300 acres of protected land offering 40 miles of trail and access to the Catawba River and Long Creek. Plan to head there right at 9am when they open and spending the day there to squeeze in as many activities as you want! We recommend getting the day pass which allows access to all activities. When you purchase your ticket at the counter make sure to schedule your water rafting and zip lining! You can rent a bin or locker for the day, coolers are not allow but outside food and drink is!

The lake is one of our favorite places to go! With boat rentals, jet ski rentals and restaurants along the lake, there's plenty to do!

We LOVE to go into the city for dinner and drinks! There is SO MUCH to do here! Our favorite burb is SouthEnd!
