How we met:

Chelsea and Jake met 15 years ago in college. Their mutual friend, Michael Robinson, introduced the two during a Vector Statics finals study session. Unfortunately, their encounter was brief. The two went their separate ways after the course was complete and reconnected 14 years later through a dating app. After a month of messaging and several unsuccessful attempts to meet, the pair finally had their first date on March 25th, 2023. As it turns out, it was all well worth the wait.

The Proposal:

In Spring of 2024, Chelsea and Jake took the perfect vacation to Fort Bragg – the pair strolled along Glass Beach, rode The Skunk Train and railbikes through redwoods, and unwound at The Vichy Springs Mineral Champagne Baths. On May 13, 2024, the pair embarked on what should have been a 6-mile hike winding through redwood forest, ferns and waterfalls at The Russian Gulch State Park . After accidentally extending their hike by a few miles and several missed opportunities (including the moment to propose at the waterfall due to Chelsea’s never failing need to pee), Jake and Chelsea stumbled across a secluded bridge in a clearing just past the waterfall. It was in this breathtaking location that Jake got down on one knee and proposed to Chelsea!

Chelsea and Jake make it a point to share several adventures together. Some of these moments include the following:

· Hiking in the redwoods

· Countless culinary experiences

· Strolling through Scenario Light art exhibit in Paso Robles

· Enjoying each other’s company in the comforts of home

· Peddling rail bikes in Fort Bragg

· Learning to dance Salsa, Bachata, Lindy Hop, and Tango

· Mountain tubing in Kauai's old irrigation channels
