Q + A

1. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail/formal attire. Ladies are suggested to wear a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit (think elegant, yet comfortable), and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

2. What will the weather be like this time of year?

Middletown, NY has an average high of 65 and low of 45 for the end of October. At times this can skew warmer or cooler, so we suggest you pack layers and an umbrella just in case!

3. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and after party will all be taking place at our venue - Wallkill Golf Club. The venue is located at 40 Sands Road in Middletown, NY.

4. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting), and the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors with access to the outdoor patio throughout.

5. What happens after the ceremony?

Immediately after the ceremony, we will begin cocktail hour just a few steps away. Guests can mingle, eat some hors d’oeuvres and wet their whistle before the party officially gets started!

6. Does your wedding have a theme?

Our wedding theme incorporates fall colors and neutrals, but guests are encouraged to wear whatever color/materials they feel best in!

7. Are there other wedding events I can attend?

We will be gathering for informal welcome drinks the night before the wedding (the Home page has more details), and there is also golf available for the morning of the wedding. Additionally there will be an after party at the venue, which will essentially be a continuation of our reception at the venue.

8. What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will surely be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

9. How do I get to the venue?

We will be providing transportation to/from the Sleep Inn & Suites location before the ceremony, after the reception, and after the after party as well. If you choose to stay at another location, you may either drive or take an Uber/Lyft to the venue at 40 Sands Road, Middletown, NY. There is free parking in the lot at our venue if you choose to drive there.

10. What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive by 4pm, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

11. Where should guests park? Is parking free?

You may park in the lot at the venue free of charge.

12. Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, we ask that you limit attendance to those listed on the invitation. We hope this notice is enough time for you to make other arrangements and celebrate with us!

13. Can I bring a date?

We have a strict guest list and will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

14. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Yes! We have a large number of rooms reserved at a nearby hotel. Please see the Travel page for more details on prices and how to book a room.

15. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

We prefer for you to RSVP online , but if you're mailing in your response, we ask that you have them returned to us by 10/1/22. The return address is listed on the back of the main envelope containing your invitation.

16. Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes!

17. Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

For the reception, we'll have a seated dinner with several meal options, and we'll have an open bar available for all beverages. If you have any food allergies or require special meal requests, please let the couple know as soon as possible and we will be sure to accommodate.

18. Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Yes, of course! We just ask that you contact us ahead of time with any allergy/diet restrictions so we can plan accordingly.

19. Where are you registered?

We have registered with multiple sites, but The Knot has pooled our registry items into one location on the Registry tab.

20. Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Yes! We will be providing transportation to/from the Sleep Inn & Suites location before the ceremony, after the reception, and after the after party as well. If you choose to stay at another hotel, you may either drive or take an Uber/Lyft to the venue at 40 Sands Road, Middletown, NY. There is free parking in the lot at our venue if you choose to drive there.

21. May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Yes, we will be heading straight to our honeymoon on Sunday, so we won't be able to take them ourselves. We would love for each of the centerpieces to find a home instead of getting thrown out. The candles, however, are the venue's property and will not be available to take home with you.

22. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Yes, you are certainly welcome to post pictures on social media! We would also love for you to share the photos with the couple to enjoy in the days following the event. Feel free to send any photos or videos to Chelsea (201-403-8806).

23. I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

We are both available for questions leading up to the event, and we will determine a day-of point of contact closer to wedding day for any last minute questions. The best way to contact us is by calling or texting Chelsea (201-403-8806) or Kevin (516-680-2472).
