How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?
You can RSVP right here on our website! Just click the RSVP tab, type in your name, and click Accept or Decline. Please RSVP by October 1st.
Do I have a plus one?
Although we would love to welcome more to the party, we have only given a select few of our guests plus one invites. Along with your invitation, you should have also received a small card with the names of the guests invited. If you have a (+1) next to your name then yes, you do indeed have a plus one! We kindly ask that if you do decide to bring someone along, that you message one of us so that we may get an accurate head count for the reception!
May I bring my children?
We love kids! But we would prefer that they sit this one out. Due to limited numbers, we hope you appreciate that children are only invited if named.
What is the dress code?
There aren't too many excuses to really dress up in the average person's life! This is your chance to dress to the nines! Please wear formal/semi-formal attire, black tie optional. Strictly no jeans, tennis shoes, or t-shirts. And we strongly request that all feminine attire is not white or black.
Will we be indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony will take place outside and the reception will be inside. There will be activities outside on the lawn throughout the evening, so we suggest bringing a shawl or jacket to stay warm!
What time should I arrive/What time does the event end?
We ask that all guests arrive to the venue no later than 1pm. The ceremony will start shortly after, with socializing, reception, and dancing to follow. The party will end at 11pm, and we invite you all of you to light a sparkler and send us off to begin our new life together as a married couple!
Should I bring a gift to the wedding? Do you have a registry?
Your presence is the best gift we could ask for! But if you wish to get us a little something, there will be a designated table for all cards and gifts. If you are unsure of what to get us, we have listed a few items under the 'Registry' tab. If you can't make it to the wedding but still wish to purchase a gift from our registry, you may select the option "Ship to Chelsea & DeVante" at checkout.
What is the photo policy? Can I post to my social media?
We would love to see our wedding from your point of view! As long as they are taken in a respectful manner, we encourage all guests to take as many pictures and videos as their hearts desire! If you post to social media, we request that you use our hashtag #stevensonhicksgethitched so that we can easily see all of the posts from our guests!
Will there be a bar?
We have decided to have a dry wedding. However, there will be a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages, free of purchase, that will be provided. We thank you for understanding and respecting our wishes.
Have you reserved a block of hotel rooms for out-of-state guests?
No, there are three hotels in Sturgis, Mi that are 20 minutes from the venue listed in our travel section on the website.
Where will last-minute updates be posted?
Any day-of updates that our guests may need to know will be posted to our facebook pages.
