This page will continue to be updated as we get closer to the big day
What is the timeline for the day?
The ceremony will begin at 2:30PM and will not be longer than half an hour. While we take family portraits, guests will be able to go into the reception area. We will have light refreshments with plans to start the reception at 4. Due to restrictions with the venue we will be ending the reception at 8:30.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We are asking everyone to please not take photos during the ceremony. We have hired a wonderful photographer. We ask this both to make their job easier as well as because we would love for everyone to remain fully present with us in the moment. Photos will be posted as soon as we have them.
Once the ceremony has concluded you can take as many pictures as you'd like. We would love to see anything you do take so please send them our way.
May I bring a plus one?
We are very sorry but we are not able to accommodate anyone not listed on your invitation. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
What is the dress code?
Semi-Formal-ish. We are asking guests to refrain from very casual outfits like sweats, jeans, and t-shirts. Other than that wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable! While the reception will not run late we will be outdoors near the ocean at the tail end of summer. If you think you may get cold you may want to consider bringing a sweater.
What's for dinner?
TBA. Please include any dietary restrictions when you rsvp so that we can assure everyone has something to enjoy.
Are there bathrooms?
The venue is in the middle of a campground. We have use of the well maintained bath house on site. It is a short walk from the pavilion. The Pavilion is circled in black and the bathrooms in red. There is a handicap accessible porta-potty right outside of the pavilion that you may use as well.
What about the bar?
Due to restrictions with the city we are limited to beer, wine, and malt drinks such as seltzers. Hard liquor is prohibited so please do not bring any. Doing so may result in us receiving a fine from the venue or the city. This wedding will be 21+ only. No exceptions. More info soon.
What are our options for overnight lodging?
As we will be in Salem in September we recommend making any hotel accommodations as soon possible. We are not blocking any rooms at this time but local hotels are listed on the Travel page. The venue itself is located right in the middle of a campground. If you would like to stay and camp there you can make your reservation here. You will need your own camping equipment. https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/winter-island-park/PRCG/1061400/overview
Can we smoke?
This is a no smoking of any kind venue.
