While partaking in a game night, five long distance besties decide to swap names Secret Santa style and set each other up on one good date by the end of the year. In an attempt to do thorough research, the group questions Chelsey about her "type", she responds, "I'm not really sure."

One blistering summer morning, plagued with the question of her true type, Chelsey walks into church, spots a tall, bearded, lumberjack-looking man and thinks to herself, "that is my type." She requests that her friend Elle sets her up with the church man whose name, she learns, is Steve. It has since been joked that she "ordered him up like a cheeseburger."

After many months of awkward run ins at church, Steve expressing his interest in Chelsey to Elle, him learning where she works and *unsuccessfully* coming in to ask her out, Chelsey realizes she is running out of time. You see, unbeknownst to Steve, Chelsey is about to move to Phoenix for three months. In an attempt to solidify a spot in her crush's heart, she slides into his DMs.

Steve and Chelsey meet up for coffee and immediately hit it off. They talk for hours, relocate to Cinco de Mayo West Nashville, and talk for many hours more. After eight hours of getting to know each other, they are both bummed that Chelsey is about to move across the country, but manage to squeeze in one more date to see a hockey game before she goes. *pictured: a reenacted photo of said first date*

After exclusively communicating via texts and Instagram DMs for three months, Chelsey is finally back in Nashville. Her and Steve go out for her cousin's birthday, are reminded of how much they like each other, and have their first kiss at one of Nashville's grimiest dive bars, Red Door. Thus begins the courting process.

Steve offers to help Chelsey move into her new house, is instantly accepted by Yeti, and begins his transformation from "I'm just more of a dog guy" to unadulterated Cat Dad. Throughout move-in week, he gets to know her mom, is tasked with hanging many things on walls, impresses the ladies (Chelsey and her mom) with his eagerness to help and affinity for card games, and at the end of the week decides it's time to ask Chelsey to be his girlfriend.

Steve and Chelsey spend the summer exploring new taco places, having fancy date nights, learning how to work around both of their chaotic work schedules, and, ultimately, falling in love.

After a whirlwind fall of traveling, meeting each other's families, and growing their relationship, Steve and Chelsey run into the ultimate travel fiasco. Instead of being able to go to Sacramento to be with Steve's family for Christmas as they originally planned, they spend 7 hours at the airport on Christmas day and are ultimately told they won't be able to get to California for another week. They spend Christmas week instead cooking breakfast together, watching Christmas movies, and making the best of changed plans. At the end of the week, they both arrive at the same conclusion: they are more sure than ever that this is the person they want to spend the rest of their lives with.

Steve and Chelsey move in together. They create a home that displays their love for music, cooking, and hosting gatherings for their friends. They spend the fall getting more and more excited for what the future holds.

Steve executes the proposal of Chelsey's fall-obsessed dreams at their very favorite park. The day is fully equipped with a photo shoot, tacos and a champagne celebration, a party with some of their favorite people, and all the chilly weather vibes. She, of course, said, "yes!" and they began their journey to happily ever after.
