Uber or Bolt are your best bet (if you don't have either of these apps, we advise to download at least one of them before you leave Ireland).

Alternatively, taxis are readily available outside the arrivals area at Faro Airport.

The Old Village, Vilamoura

Located in Vilamoura, just a 5-minute drive from Falesia beach. There are 3 complexes, Old Village, Old Village Prestige and Solar do Golfe. All 3 offer self-catering apartments. There is 3 swimming pools in The Old Village, 2 in Solar and 1 in Prestige. It is surrounded by a golf course and landscaped gardens.

They provide quality accommodations with well-equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. Each apartment is individually decorated. Most of the units have a patio or terrace. All feature cable TV and fans or air conditioning.

The resorts offer 2 restaurants and 2 snack bars. The on-site supermarket is open every day.

It is within 15 minutes’ walk to the Marina or 3 minutes in an Uber/Bolt.

Pinhal da Marina is another option which we have stayed at in the past.

Enjoy the tranquil surroundings of pine forests and gardens. Pinhal Da Marina offers a generous pool area. The spacious apartments come with private terraces and dishwashers.

Pinhal Da Marina is located just 1 km from Vilamoura’s centre and a 20-minute walk from the Marina and sandy beach.

All apartments are south-facing and overlook the gardens or the pool area. Each has a kitchenette with a microwave. A take-away service at the Pin Mar Restaurant is available.

Pinhal Da Marina‘s restaurant serves an à la carte menu of traditional Portuguese and international dishes, accompanied by a selection of Portuguese wines. A kids menu is also available.
