Believe it or not, Chelsie and Amber weren’t always friends. In fact, neither was thrilled when their cheerleading coach placed them next to each other during games. It didn’t take long, however, for them to bond over teenage shenanigans—and for Chelsie to introduce Amber to the infamous “one cheek sneak.”
Their friendship quickly escalated to near-daily hangouts after school and on weekends, filled with parties (and the occasional trouble), beach trip plotting, concerts, countless McDonald’s drive-thru runs, and time spent at their favorite local spot, The Sanctuary.
After high school, they made time to visit each other at college for Halloween parties, birthdays, and concerts. Following graduation, both returned home for a few years and started a tradition known as “Best Friend Mondays” at The Kutztown Tavern—meeting up every Monday after work for a beer.
Over the years, Chelsie and Amber have celebrated countless milestones together, from earning advanced degrees to buying homes, navigating relationships, and everything in between. Though their high school days and early twenties are long behind them, their friendship has remained—surviving distance, time, and hundreds of miles apart.
Amber has collected many nicknames along the way—Mimber Aller, McAmber, Amburger Happy Meal, and BFFFFL, just to name a few. But through it all, one thing has remained constant: Amber has always been, and will forever be, one of Chelsie’s very best friends.
Alexa and Chelsie first met in third grade on Bus #4, where their friendship began by “quizzing” each other and playing all the classic coming-of-age bus games. As they grew older, their bond only deepened—especially during Chelsie’s annual beach trips with Alexa and her family. One particularly unforgettable moment from those trips includes the time the two accidentally walked into what can only be described as the most horrendous port-o-potty scene imaginable.
Beyond beach trips, Alexa and Chelsie spent countless nights at sleepovers, often dabbling in something spooky—like the time they thought bringing a Ouija board to a cemetery was a great idea (don’t worry, they chickened out).
In adulthood, the two discovered a shared love for camping, traveling, and exploring national parks. In 2020, they took an unforgettable road trip to Montana and Wyoming, camping in 20-degree temperatures and bundling into their sleeping bags with every layer they packed. During this trip, Chelsie also learned that Alexa can rap “WAP”—and yes, there is video evidence of this iconic moment.
Alexa is truly a lifetime friend to Chelsie. Their friendship has spanned more than 20 years and countless milestones, including graduations, moves, relationships, and everything life has thrown their way—remaining as strong and meaningful as ever.
Chelsie met Shelby during their high school years through a mutual friendship. While they often crossed paths in group settings throughout high school, it wasn’t until their late teens and early twenties that the two truly bonded one-on-one. Shelby would visit Chelsie at college, and the pair eventually settled into a weekly tradition of movie nights together. In addition, the two took several trips together, including a road trip to West Virginia & Virginia, combining their love of wine, hiking, and history, and to Thailand, experiencing the culture, beaches & hot springs, monkeys & elephants, and yoga.
Beyond movie nights & traveling, Chelsie and Shelby could often be found exploring local watering holes—especially Captain’s Cove, one of their favorites—where they spent evenings throwing darts, playing Jenga, and taking shot-skis. Shelby also proved herself a true ride-or-die teammate during the annual Gettysburg Bar Hopping Challenge, using her impressive drinking stamina and historical knowledge to help the team win. At one point, she famously declared, “When it comes to the G.A., leave it to M.E.”
Shelby is the total package when it comes to friendship—equal parts wild child, responsible adult, and just the right amount of spice. She’s the kind of friend who will always stick up for you, no matter what.
Mariah (which rhymes with Papaya) and Chelsie were a dynamic duo of shenanigans as college roommates, randomly—and very successfully—paired together in Gaige Hall their freshman year at Millersville University. Despite coming from different high school experiences, the two bonded quickly over similar upbringings and a shared love of parties.
One of their earliest memories together involved a bottle of wine and absolutely no corkscrew. Naturally, they improvised by using a tube of mascara to push the cork into the bottle—as any educated college students would. It worked… though the mascara went in too. Luckily, freshmen have no boundaries, and mascara-flavored wine somehow tasted just fine. By the end of freshman year, they had built bunk beds, adopted a dorm-room fish (RIP Totes McGoats), and supported each other through “study shots” and countless cups of jungle juice.
Mariah and Chelsie went on to live together for three of their four college years. Between classes and restaurant shifts, they always found time for parking-lot jam sessions, dance aerobics, and late-night trips to Ho-Pi and Jesus Dogs. They also shared unforgettable moments at the Renaissance Faire—where Mariah famously declared, “F*** gingers!” when asked whether she would cheer for England or Ireland.
After college, their friendship continued strong with annual trips to Mariah’s cousin’s beach house, spontaneous nights out in Lancaster City, and even flying to Miami for a weekend of unforgettable memories. Through every phase, Mariah has remained one of Chelsie’s cherished friendships—proof that the best pairings are sometimes the random ones.
What began as a unique friendship—one that survived plenty of sisterly disagreements during college—has blossomed into a lifelong bond. Ashlei and Chelsie were roommates for three out of four college years and shared countless memories filled with parking-lot jam sessions, dance aerobics, and late-night trips to Ho-Pi, The Village, and Jesus Dogs. Ashlei also likely holds the record for witnessing Chelsie pee outside more than any other friend.
Beyond the college tomfoolery, Ashlei and Chelsie continued their friendship after graduation with nights out in West Chester and weekends spent at the aforementioned beach house. One of their most unforgettable adventures was a ski trip to Vermont in their early twenties—taken despite neither of them having ever skied before. The weekend can best be summarized by Ashlei tumbling down the mountain, removing her skis entirely (yes, there is video proof), and spending the rest of the trip poolside and at the bar.
Ashlei truly is as good as they get. She’s exceeded the expectations of friendship in multiple ways, but the most memorable one is when she dropped everything and flew across the country to help Chelsie leave a relationship, and then drove all the way back with her—proving that her friendship is built on loyalty, strength, and unconditional love.
Alyssa and Chelsie first met as coworkers at their very first “adult” jobs after college, where they quickly bonded over the shared chaos of working in a psychiatric rehabilitation program for young adults. Navigating mid-twenties life crises together, they became each other’s steady support while dreaming bigger—traveling, pursuing advanced degrees, and eventually moving out of Pennsylvania.
Their friendship grew through a shared love of music, yoga, and a willingness to be just a little unhinged—like meeting for 6:00 a.m. yoga before work, teaming up as beer pong partners, or driving to Philadelphia on a worknight to see MGMT. Alyssa quickly earned her title as the most supportive (and best) colleague of all time.
Even as life took them to different jobs and different states, their bond never wavered. They’ve continued to visit one another, schedule hours-long phone calls, and even get matching tattoos. Alyssa is one of the few people Chelsie can share absolutely anything with—and always be met with unconditional love, encouragement, and support.
