Our story is also our testimony. I have known for a very long time that God answers prayers and that prayers do not expire. Our story was written in the plans that God had for our lives.

Deon and I had seen and spoken to each other at church but it was always in passing. I was asked to be the Singles Ministry leader and though I really wanted to decline, I accepted the position. If we want God to enlarge our territory we have to step up when the opportunity arises. Through building and meeting with my committee, the offer was made for Singles Ministry to partner with Mens Ministry for their *Not Superbowl Party*. Sunday February 11th, 2024 Deon and I made a connection with 10 seconds left of the game. Lucky for us, they went into overtime.

Over the next couple of months we talked, got to know each other, built a strong friendship and foundation on God. We would (and still do) read the bible together every morning. We prayed for each other. We prayed with each other. It felt like the most natural, effortless relationship. We became each other's best friend. In July over my birthday weekend, we got engaged (7/21/24).

We give all the credit, all the thanks, and all the glory to God for bringing us together. We are grateful, blessed, and humbled by all the unconditional love and support that we have received from our family and friends. We know that this is just the beginning and we are excited to celebrate with all of you very soon!
