In 2024, Cher Kay and Ryan were initially planning to skip EDC, but after three years together and discussions about their future, Cher Kay decided to surprise Ryan with a magical Sunday evening at the festival. Surrounded by close friends and the iconic fireworks show under the Electric Sky, Cher Kay turned the tables by proposing to Ryan. She did the *PLUR handshake while handing him a bracelet with the proposal, waiting for him to read it. At 1:45 AM on May 20, 2024, Ryan said "Yes!" *The PLUR handshake is a series of hand gestures that are performed when trading kandi bracelets and is based on the acronym PLUR, which stands for peace, love, unity, and respect.

On the second day of their spontaneous trip to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Cher Kay and Ryan visited Hapuna Beach State Park. After setting up their chairs and belongings, Ryan dropped to one knee and proposed to Cher Kay, presenting her with her engagement ring. At 12:50 PM on Thursday, Febuary 6, 2025, Cher Kay said "YES!"

And so, this chapter of our story comes to a close, until our wedding day. We would be so happy to share that moment with you. We hope you can be there on our special day, and from the bottom of our hearts, we’re deeply grateful for your love, support, and best wishes!
