Cheryl first caught Pauls eye at a wedding in 2012, they both attended Aunt Connies wedding. Pauls little cousin was sitting with Cheryl and he used that as an excuse to go talk to her, the two spent the rest of the night dancing. They remained friends over the years. In 2018 Paul confessed to Cheryl how he felt, after a bad marriage and poor dating history, she told him she was too broken and did not want a relationship. Paul would not take no for an answer, Cheryl gave into a date in 2019, and as they say, the rest is history.
Paul asked Cheryl to be his wife at their favorite vacation spot in July of 2022.
