Just as we were both about to close our accounts on Our Time dating app, we started talking online. It was December 12, 2022. After a month of talking online during the holidays and Cheryl having mild Covid, we met in person for lunch on January 12, 2023. It was a four hour lunch!

We talked about how we are both widowed, Cheryl 9 years, Patrick 5. This gave us something in common right away. We immediately realized this wasn't like any of our other dates we had met online.

We have talked daily since then and enjoyed going on many dates and just hanging out together.

In June we took a trip to Branson to see how we traveled together. Let's just say it was a success because we became engaged on June 24, 2023, pretty much shocking our kids and everyone else!

We are looking forward to our fall wedding and being able to travel together as we are both excited about having this second chance at love!

We noticed that our big milestones happened on the 12th or 24th, so we chose October 12 for our wedding date.

Yes, we know it is OU/Texas weekend, but we don't mind. ;-)
