The Great Smoky Mountains are only about an hour and a half drive from Oak Ridge! There are so many beautiful trails and drives to take through the park. In the winter some trails and roads are closed, so you may want to check the NPS website before heading there.

For our guests with children this is a great, interactive experience! It teaches the history of Oak Ridge and The Manhattan Project, but also has other exhibits focusing on general science.

This park is located in Oak Ridge and offers an extensive walking trail, playground, and boat rentals through Adventure Outdoor Center.
