If you’re planning on riding the streetcar multiple times, we recommend purchasing a Jazzy Pass. One, three, and 31-day unlimited ride “Jazzy Passes” are all available for $3, $9, and $55 respectively, and are definitely the most cost-effective way to utilize the bus and streetcars over the course of a day or an entire trip.
Noisy. Raucous. Nocturnal. For many New Orleans visitors, Bourbon Street embodies the life of a party town. The street is lit by neon lights, throbbing with music and decorated by beads and balconies. Named for a royal family in France and not the amber-colored alcohol, Bourbon Street has become a place for revelry of all sorts. With its windows and doors flung open to the wandering crowds, it should be no surprise that the famed sidewalk strolling libation known as the “go cup” was invented on Bourbon Street, according to Tulane University historian Richard Campanella. Many things change in New Orleans, but the color and excitement of Bourbon Street never falters.
Each bag of seafood is served “piping hot”, cooked in one of the Fiery Crab Signature sauces (delicious btw). Their seafood is boiled in the traditional Cajun style, with a new exciting flare. You receive your seafood in a heat-proof bag, keeping your food hot and guaranteeing a treat that will have your tastebuds dancing. Be ready to “get down and messy” with all of the deliciousness, since digging into the bag is no “clean” feat!
The Felix’s story is that of the New Orleans Oyster Bar. Ask any New Orleanian where their dad or grandpa took them for their first oysters. The answer is always Felix’s.
Back in the 1940’s, Felix’s put the New Orleans oyster bar on the map, creating a place where oyster-lovers could ‘belly up to the bar’ and have the freshest oysters shucked right in front of them. Felix’s fast became a New Orleans’ institution that drew a devoted local, national and international following which has inspired generations of oyster fans.
You can't beat going to a casino! They have great entertainment options and have many large TVs for sports! We spent the whole day here just to watch some good college football...and maybe to do some gambling too ;)
We have not gone here yet, but this is a definite must on our bucket list! They recommend to plan to tour the museum for at least 2 hours.
