Did Chiaka and Patrick expect to find love through online dating? Absolutely not. But that is exactly what happened to them and they could not be more excited to become husband and wife!

With Chiaka spending most of her days in the classroom as a busy elementary school teacher and Patrick having extremely long days on and off the football field as an assistant coach, taking the time to date was pretty much impossible.

Chiaka decided to create an online dating profile on a whim and was pretty excited when she glanced on Patrick’s profile and saw his occupation: a college football coach. Patrick was immediately hooked on Chiaka’s profile once he saw her smile and her love for football.

Once Chiaka and Patrick’s profiles matched, they talked nonstop for a couple of weeks before deciding to meet in Chiaka’s hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia. Patrick asked Chiaka to meet him for coffee and donuts at Duck Donuts, but it started to rain once the pair found outdoor seating. Chiaka invited Patrick to continue their conversation in her car and four hours later, they were still talking and loving every minute of their time together. From the start, Chiaka and Patrick had a deep and undeniable connection. The two of them knew on that very first date that God had blessed them with someone special.

As Chiaka and Patrick’s relationship progressed, they became more and more inseparable. The pair continued to make the hour drive between Charlottesville and Buena Vista on the weekends to see each other for movie nights, fun dates, and countless Chick-Fil-A trips.

Chiaka and Patrick believe that everything happens for a reason and when they both least expected it, God gave them someone better than they could have ever planned for. Having a relationship that is loving, trusting, and yet still centers on their love for Christ has been the biggest blessing that the pair could receive. Chiaka and Patrick know that this is the marriage that God intended for them and they cannot wait until forever on July 11, 2022!
