Getting to Queretaro
Q: When do you and Chio arrive in Mexico?
A: We’ll arrive in Mexico City (also known as CDMX) on the evening of Tuesday, May 20th. We’re so excited to be in my favorite city in the world! We’ll be staying in the Condesa/Polanco area, near Chapultepec Castle.
Q: How do you get to Queretaro?
A: We’ll take an air-conditioned bus with WiFi from CDMX to Queretaro on Thursday, May 24th. The ride takes about three hours. We’ll spend a few days in Queretaro before the wedding.
Q: How much time should I spend in Mexico City?
A: CDMX is a fantastic city you could explore for weeks, but 1–3 days is perfect if you’re visiting before or after Queretaro. The best neighborhoods to stay in are Coyoacán (artsy and home of Frida Kahlo), Polanco (upscale), and Condesa (central yet calm) — all with great hotels and restaurants.
Q: What should I do in Mexico City?
A: A detailed list will be provided, but to keep it simple: eat, drink, be merry, and visit a museum or two!
Q: What’s the best way to travel between Mexico City and Queretaro?
A: The easiest way is to fly into Mexico City Airport (MEX), then take a bus directly from the airport to Queretaro. Buses run frequently from the airport and various locations around the city.
Q: Is Uber available in Mexico City?
A: Yes! Uber works wonderfully in Mexico City and is very affordable.
Q: Can I fly directly to Queretaro?
A: Yes, you can fly into Queretaro Airport (QRO), though most flights from the U.S. are routed through Mexico City (MEX).
Is Mexico Safe
Absolutely. I have traveled and been lost many times in this area and it is very safe. Queretaro has some of the lowest crime rates in the entire country. Any questions we are happy to answer for you!
