Nate and Chirsten met at his first year at Urshan. Chirsten was a sophomore. They quickly became friends. By Chirsten's Junior year at Urshan, they were best friends. Chirsten developed a crush on Nate and told him about it right before Christmas break. Nate, nervous about messing with the friendship, said he only wanted to stay friends.

Throughout the Spring semester, Chirsten and Nate only grew closer. While Chirsten had moved on, Nate kept thinking about the conversation from the previous semester. By the time the school ear ended, Nate had decided he liked her back. He called and texted everyday of chorale tour. During Abi (the matron of honor) and Devin Fuller's wedding that summer, they were inseparable.

One night, as they were on the phone, Nate admitted his feelings. As Chirsten's Senior year began, they had their official first date on September 16th, 2023. Almost a year later, on August 6th, Nate surprised Chirsten at The Gathering Place in Tulsa and proposed!
