Where do I even begin?! Gregory and I met over 7 years ago by chance. We were just two kids who happened to be selected for an exciting internship at the Texas State Capitol. He was the funny, goofy guy who instantly made friends with everyone. I was the toad girl, who rose to fame after it was announced that I wrote a very detailed paper on the declining habitat of the Houston toad.

Gregory has always been incredibly caring and generous, but he's also just a big ol' goofball. I fell in love almost immediately!

In Austin, we hit it off at Gregory's Super Bowl party where he tried to woo me with his amazing margaritas (and it worked!) We started dating in the middle of the 85th Texas Legislative Session. He actually almost got picked by my office over me because he is so dang charming! But those grades...oof.

Gregory quickly became my partner, trusted confidant, and shoulder to cry on (and I did a LOT of crying that year.) I knew from the very start that he was the one I wanted to marry.

We got to live one last year as college students back in College Station where I met some of my closest friends. I taught Gregory how to study and he taught me how to not take life too seriously, a balance we both desperately needed to learn!

Gregory is truly my best friend, and the last 6 years together have been the best of my life. We have built a beautiful life together in Austin, where we've put down deep roots. We adopted our sweet cat, Shrimp, and made the most wonderful friends.

It has truly been an honor to do life with Gregory by my side.

My first memories with Chloe started as playful banter about what legislative chamber is better (which we still argue, we just both switched sides). From the first super bowl party, I knew Chloe was special. Over the past seven years, I have been fortunate to learn and grow with Chloe. All of the aspects of a partner I have ever wanted, I have found in Chloe. She is my co-pilot, un-official doctor, art instructor, teammate, and partner.

As my co-pilot, Chloe and I have traveled across the world. We have driven thousands of miles, traveled to eight countries, visited more than twelve states, and explored five national parks. When it comes to traveling, we are in sync and are able to travel

As my un-official doctor, Chloe has learned how to manage my type one diabetes alongside me. If I need help changing my CGM, checking my blood sugar, or even getting me a shot of insulin when my blood sugar just won’t come down, Chloe is always there for me.

As my art instructor, Chloe has helped me explore new mediums to create art. Through sketches, printmaking, and film photography, I have been able to find fun and unique ways to express my creativity.

As my teammate, Chloe has played countless games of Qwixx, 42, Wingspan, Carcassonne, Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Overwatch! While we lived across the state for each other, video games helped us feel as though we were on the couch next to each other. Whether we are with family or at home alone, we love any excuse to break out a physical board game. I wouldn’t want anyone else on my team more than Chloe, I know she will do anything to win (even if I am on the other team).

As my partner, Chloe has been by my side through each high and low over the past seven years. I couldn’t ask for a better partner. I am truly blessed to have had Chloe in my life since 2017 to help me learn and grow.
