Chloe is a sucker for the “Enemies to Lovers” trope in fiction, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that when these two met in high school, Jay was way too angsty and Chloe too gooey. They were not fans of each other.

Like the best love stories, their relationship grew over years of friendship, interspersed with time apart; years they spent becoming more and more right for each other. Now that they’ve finally found each other, they can’t imagine ever being apart. As seen in Halloweens past, she’s the Princess Peach to his Mario, the Powerpuff Girl to his Rowdyruff Boy. They continue to learn and grow together: she watches his horror movies through slitted fingers and he marvels at her ability to point out that the microscopic speck in the sky is in fact a red-tailed hawk.

They’ve spent the past five years eager to make up time. They bought the cutest bluest house they could find and they share it with a Golden Retriever who has never done a day of work in his life. On November 22 of 2021, they stood in front of gathered friends and family to pledge their lives to each other.

She is his favorite story, just as he is hers. They will continue adding to that story for the rest of their days, with adventure-filled summers off together, slow cozy days at home and their upcoming honeymoon to Disney World!
