Our Wedding

Our story is really His story. Before Joshua loved Chloe, Jesus loved Chloe. Before Chloe loved Joshua, Jesus loved Joshua. He has radically changed our life with so much grace, truth, patience, and kindness; and because he first loved us, we love each other. So truly this is His story, and He did a great job writing it. There are many significant and beautiful details to how we first met, and when we look back, the Lord was so gracious, intentional, and sweet in the way that he orchestrated it all. He initially brought our family’s together through family friends, but we didn’t really know each other till our senior years of college. We knew of each other while in school, but it wasn’t until the end of our senior year that we started to really know each other. There are details that we love to share, but we will spare them for the sake of keeping this at a chapters length instead of the true novel that it is. After a period of getting to know each other, which wasn’t that long, we decided that we wanted to get to know each other exclusively. That journey began on May 13, 2023, and since then it has been His Story. It has been beautifully sanctifying and fruitful between each of our own relationships with the Lord and then with each other. We could describe it as returning and becoming more like the person God originally intended us to be. There has been growth and maturation in the faith, while simultaneously desiring a childlike faith, trust, and love for the Lord and for each other. By the time a little over two years had passed, on May 24, 2025, (Again, there are many stories and remarkable moments that we would love to share, but for sake of this being covered efficiently, we will wait till we converse face to face) one of the best days of our lives happened. We said, “Yes,” to covenant and becoming one. This choice has brought us so much security. There is no one else we desire to be with. The location, occupation, and details of our lives pail in comparison to who we get to be with the Lord and with each other. There is a deep love and affection in this existence of unconditional love for each other. Our story and your story have been written by God before we were born. Although we attempted to articulate our story through this short chapter, there is still so much of His story that we are reading. And we are on the edge of our seats because the best is yet to come!
