6 years of love, memories, and joy began with a simple introduction back in 2017. Chloe’s dear friend, and now bridesmaid, Emily Benjamin, originally introduced the two at her sorority spring formal at American University. Though, it was not until Chloe and Jack ended up on the same spring break trip in Cancun, Mexico that sparks truly began to fly. There their journey began.
Following their travels, Jack asked Chloe on their first date: a moped ride to get Ice cream at Thomas Sweets in Georgetown. They quickly figured out that they lived no further than 200 ft apart on Macomb Street. Their bond grew from there up until Chloe’s graduation, where Jack met her family for the very first time and Chloe met Jacks parents for the very first time too.
Chloe soon moved to New York City to begin a career in marketing, while Jack finished his academic career back at American. Long distance is always tough, but true soulmates find their way. After Jack’s graduation in 2018, he moved back to his home city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They visited each other on weekends and especially enjoyed going to dinner at Montes Trattoria in Greenwich Village near Chloe’s apartment.
In the spring of 2020, a time no one can forget, Jack flew to Vero Beach, Florida to stay with Chloe and her family during the seemingly unprecedented times ahead. There they learned what it was like to be in each other’s company, not just for a weekend, but constantly. And the puzzle piece fit. It was then that once Jack was able to secure his job transfer to NYC, that they decided to move in together.
Their first home was located in Hoboken, New Jersey on 1st street. A beautiful location near the water and with an incredible view of New York’s skyline. There they had many monumental life moments, most notable, adopting their adorable dog Winnie. But, after two years of many travels and experiencing life under the same roof in an area especial to their relationship, they decided it was time to make the move back to the one and only Manhattan. At this point, Jack had already known that this love they shared was worth a lifetime.
On the night of December 17th 2022, Jack brought Chloe back to Montes Trattoria for dinner. Reconnecting them to where they began, and how far they had come. What Chloe didn’t know was that what he had up his sleeve following, would be a memory they cherished for the rest of their lives.
Following dinner, Jack told Chloe he had to return a pair of keys to a friend, and they were to meet this friend in Washington Square Park by the arch. As they strolled through, he stopped Chloe and fell to one knee, surprising her with a stunning ring symbolizing their forever. As the photographers camera flashed, both Chloe and Jack’s families emerged from behind the arch ready with champagne and celebration. But Jack didn’t stop there. They then walked to, The Malt House, a bar that sat at the base of Chloe’s very first New York City apartment. A place where they also had shared some of their first and most wonderful moments together as a couple. There waited all their dearest and closest friends, some of whom had flown in from afar to witness their special moment. The night encapsulated all the love that Chloe and Jack’s love story embodies.
August 10th 2024, will be a night they will celebrate forever and they are so honored to share that experience with the people they love most. All of you have impacted their individual journeys in life in a positive manner, ultimately leading their paths to align so beautifully. So mark your calendars, their celebration of marriage is just the beginning.
