What started off as two individuals who were just simply serving God turned out to be the beginning of a beautiful love story...

Chip and Chloe met informally in June of 2024 at a church camp meeting in Lancaster, OH. Throughout the course of the year, they would go to several fellowship meetings/church services where they would be in the same environment, but they never quite interacted with each other.

Eventually, the Lord laid it on Chip's heart that it was time for him to seek for a wife; but, who could it be? One day, at yet another fellowship meeting in Asheville, NC, God had spoken to his heart: she was the one. And by she, it was none other than Chloe, who had no idea that a tall, young man was even eyeing her.

A few weeks later, Chip made a decision: it was time to ask this beautiful young lady that he'd laid his eyes on if she would begin to pray with him to be in a courtship(holy dating). He made the bold move of showing up to her house on a Sunday morning, Chloe completely unsuspecting of his arrival, as she walked down the stairs, toddler on her hip(her niece). Little did she know, in just a few hours, her life was about to change forever, and her world would be flipped upside down--in the best way possible.

It took her just about a month to give him an answer--and boy, was that agonizing for him! But he was patient, confident that this was the woman for him. And that day when she told him that she accepted his offer of courtship, was probably one of the most thrilling(and relieving) days of his life!

From there began what would end up being a whirlwind of a courtship. It started with many questions, getting to know yous, and learning one another. As with any couple, they had some bumps in the road along the way. But when you have the Holy Ghost on your side--and you're willing to listen to him--there is nothing that you and your spouse/companion can't get through. On October 17, after using his last PTO day to drive from Columbus to Chicago to surprise her, he finally popped the question, though the answer was clear to both of them.

If there's one take away that Chloe and Chip want other couples to have from their relationship, it's this: let God work out your relationship. When you let God do things, it goes better than you could ever expect or anticipate. Do not allow people to meddle in your love life; God is love, and the Creator of it; and it would seem to be that the Creator of something knows how it works best. This story wouldn't be possible without the marvelous, unseen but felt, hand of God--and for that, Chip and Chloe are forever grateful.
