Our Wedding

Villa Address: Strada di Petrognano, 1, 50021 Petrognano FI We have arranged a bus to pick those who need a ride up in Florence and bring to villa. Refer to the 'Itinerary' page for transportation details, including pick-up time and address. The bus will also be transporting folks from the villa to Florence on check-out day (Monday). For those that need an alternative ride outside of the bus, a taxi will need to be arranged. Plan for 100 Euro for each transfer. Let us know if you will need transportation outside of the bus. If you decide to rent a vehicle, you must have an international driver's license that you get PRIOR to leaving for Italy. Give yourself a few weeks ahead of time to get it. Transportation To/From Villa

Relais Borgo Petrognano has a quiet countryside location. The individually furnished rooms have precious textiles and a satellite TV. A hill-view terrace is available. Rooms are set in the converted tower or in independent stone buildings. Some come with terracotta floors and wood-beamed ceilings, while some others are set on 2 or 3 levels. Breakfast is an extensive buffet with cakes, biscuits but also cold cuts and cheese. During summer, Borgo Petrognano’s guests can swim in the free outdoor pool with a paved sun terrace.

Chloe and Michael will first go to Rome to spend a couple days exploring. Then, they are headed to the Amalfi Coast! A couple nights in Positano followed by some days on the island of Capri.

Friday, May 15th -- Arrival Day

Friday is check-in day! We have arranged a bus to pick up those who need a ride to the villa from Florence. The bus ride will be approximately 1 hour to the villa. We will kickoff the weekend with a pizza party at the villa! Saturday, May 16th -- Leisure Day

We are planning a fun rehearsal dinner and will update details once confirmed. Prior to that, the day is yours — feel free to organize a taxi to explore a nearby hill town such as San Gimignano or Siena. We’ll be staying at the villa and plan to relax by the pool, play yard games, and hang out. We’ll also host a small wine tasting in the afternoon. MorningBrunch: provided by the villa (American coffee, tea, milk, hot chocolate, fruit juices, water, yogurt, cereals, croissants, homemade cakes, cold pasta, vegetable pie, scrambled eggs with bacon, cheeses, ham and salami, bread). Sunday, May 17th -- Wedding Day!

Monday is check-out day. :( You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. We have arranged a bus to take those who need a ride back in Florence. Renting a Car

Storing Luggage

If you have some time prior to bus pick-up on Friday and need a place to store your luggage, there is an app you can download with various places that will store luggage for the time you need. App is called Bounce. I would choose a place that has good reviews. We plan to use this throughout our travel in general, it's pretty slick!

Tips

Michael and I decided it would be easiest if we organize and pay for all the shared transportation, meals, groceries, and activities at the villa. To help with the costs, we are asking each person to contribution $200. This will cover all your expenses from Friday check-in to Monday check-out (of course, if you want certain snacks, schedule side activity on saturday, etc, that is separate) To be safe, guest should budget for the following per person costs:- Airfare to/from Italy: $1,300- Friday (breakfast/lunch) prior to villa arrival: $100- Friday check in to Monday check out: $200- Additional budget (snacks, souvenirs, etc.): $300- Post wedding travel: up to you Total estimated cost per person: $2,000

The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s premier art museums, housing an unparalleled collection of Italian Renaissance masterpieces. Located in the heart of Florence, the Uffizi showcases iconic works by artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael.
