Bride & Groom Recommendations!

We have compiled a list of our recommendations for cruising, whether you are seasoned cruisers or have never done one before!

- A casual and a nicer outfit PER DAY - you will want a casual outfit to wear around the ship/the port, but dinner is normally a more formal affair. You do not need to dress formally for dinner, but we find that it is fun to get dressed up!

- At least two swimsuits - no one likes wearing a wet swimsuit. We always bring at least two to ensure that we are always putting a dry swimsuit on if we decide to go swimming multiple times a day!

- Flip-flops/sandals - if you only bring tennis shoes, you will regret it! Flip-flops and sandals are great to throw on super fast to go to the buffet or the pool, and easy to slip on after getting out of the water or leaving the beach.

- Nice pair of shoes - on the flip side of the last bullet point, bring a nicer pair of shoes! These will be nice for the wedding and for the formal dinners, if you choose to partake in them.

- Sunglasses/Hats - yes, they sell these on board, but bringing them yourself will save money and ensure that you have everything you need for a fun and relaxing vacation!

- Toiletries - this includes sunscreen, lotions, facial washes, makeup remover, toothpaste, contact solution, etc. Anything besides your basic shampoo/conditioner/body wash. We always pack our own of everything, but the ship does have travel sized soaps for your convenience.

- Watch - preferably waterproof! Amazon has some nice ones that are pretty inexpensive. Shore time goes by so fast, you want to make sure you get back on board in time! In addition, if you are not attached to your phone on board, it will help with food and activity schedules!

- Waterproof bag - whether a big bag or just a waterproof bag for your phone - if you are planning on doing excursions or bringing your phone in the pool/ocean, this is a great precaution to take!

Extras to Remember!

- Phone, watch, computer, headphone, camera CHARGERS! You will be so sad if you get two days into a six day cruise and realize that you've forgotten these. Carnival will sell SOME charging devices in the gift shop, but they may not have your specific devices, so try to remember your own!

- Medication!!! Any kind of medication, whether its daily medication, motion sickness medication, or allergy medication. DO NOT FORGET!

- Sunscreen! This was already mentioned, but DO NOT FORGET THIS! You will regret it, I really really promise.

- Insulated water bottle - John and Chloe always bring their 40 oz Stanleys. Cruise ships just have plastic cups for drinks, so bringing insulated bottles is a great way to keep your drinks cold for longer! This is our top recommendation!

Please review this list if you have never cruised in general, or have never cruised with Carnival. Every ship has different restrictions and we want embarkation day to go as smoothly as possible for everyone!

As always, feel free to message the bride or groom if you have any questions!

*special reminder*
Do not forget about the formal dinners for the cruise!
Sticking this in here twice so no one forgets!

Although they are not ballgown-type dinners, we do recommend that you pack nicer clothing than athletic shorts and T-shirts!
As always, message the bride or groom if you have any questions!
