It all began at work...where two people, caught up in the busyness of their day, happened to notice each other from across the way. Caleb was helping with a project for Chloe’s team, and though neither of them knew it yet, something special had sparked.

Chloe, curious, glanced to see if Caleb was wearing a ring… and he was. But after a long day at a work event, she didn’t pay close enough attention to which hand it was on. Naturally, she assumed he was married and quickly brushed aside the thought. From then on, whenever they crossed paths at work, Caleb was always friendly - offering a wave or a kind “hello.” Chloe just thought he was a nice guy.

What she didn’t realize was that Caleb had been hoping for a chance to talk with her again...to see if the connection he felt was real. That chance came when another work project arose. Caleb was assigned to help with the very task Chloe needed completed (or so she thought). He stopped by her desk to go over the project details, and after he left, Chloe’s friend Bri came over with an important revelation: Caleb wasn’t married after all!

With some encouragement from her friend, Chloe decided to take a step that was a bit out of character, she went to strike up a conversation. She offered to help with part of the project, and the two quickly fell into an easy, genuine rhythm of talking and laughing. Later on, Chloe learned the truth: Caleb hadn’t actually been assigned to that project at all...he’d taken it on just for the chance that he might get a natural opportunity to talk to her.

Before long, Caleb, ever the smooth gentleman, mentioned that he had a goal to visit every Southeast campus, and it just so happened he hadn’t been to Chloe’s yet. He hinted that maybe, if he made it there, she could show him around. Caleb followed through, and not long after, he invited her to lunch.

Their first lunch at Torchy’s Tacos turned into a four hour conversation, full of laughter, stories, and a sense that something special was unfolding.

That was the beginning of it all.

Now, months later, that first conversation has led to a lifetime ahead...and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together.
