Although we do not think a rental car is needed for the weekend, as the hotel is on the complimentary shuttle route for all of Vail, if you choose to visit other parts of Colorado outside of Vail; a rental car would be needed. But if you plan to explore what Vail has to offer, you will not need a rental car.
ARE WE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING TO THE VENUE OURSELVES?
Not unless you want to! If you plan to rent a car and have a rental car the whole weekend, you can absolutely drive seperately. But there will be a private shuttle taking all guests to the venue and back from the hotel if you choose to ride. This is a free transport and will help with making sure everyone gets to the venue on time and no one gets lost. This is the recommended way of travel. Please reference the "Hotel + Travel" section for more details on ceremony transportation that will be available.
IS THERE PARKING NEARBY?
There are about 30 parking spots at Sapphire Point. We advise you get to the venue at least 15-minutes prior to your designated start-time. Sooner the better since this is a public park and there could be other visitors to the park at the same time. Please reference the "Hotel + Travel" section for more options on transportation that will be available.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR THE CEREMONY?
15-20 minutes prior to event start time. Please budget your ETA as well to get there on time! Please reference the "Hotel + Travel" section for more options on transportation that will be available.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
Please be prepared for chilly/sunny weather. We are forecasting in the 40's-50's with mild wind factor. This could change as we get closer to the event date.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
Dress warm! The dress code for our wedding weekend is Winter Rustic/ Semi-Formal / Cocktail Attire. No work jeans, ski jackets/ski attire, or parkas for the planned events please, dress jeans are fine. Otherwise welcomed for leisure activities.
We are requesting shades of Blue and/or Green for our ceremony.
CAN I BRING A DATE?
Due to limited capactiy at the Venue, we have a specific guest list for our special day, so this wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed with your invitation.
ARE KIDS INVITED?
Although we wish and would love for them to join us, due to limited capacity at the venue, our wedding is an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
YES. Absolutely!! The Hotel is Dog Friendly. Since the ceremony is outdoors at a national park, the park is ALSO dog friendly (leashed). You are more than welcome to bring your fur baby with you on this weekend adventure! We are asking you limit it to ONE dog per invitation. We also ask for you to NOT formally dress your dog in anything. The Dog of Honor, Cai, will be the only dog "dressed". If you have a small dog and they need a jacket, that is fine!
CAN I BRING MY GIFT TO THE WEDDING?
Your presence is present enough! Should you wish to still get a gift, please visit our registry or order online and ship to our home address. Destination Travel is hectic enough, no need for extra baggage for guests or the Bride & Groom. Please reach out to Bride or Groom for our address if needed!
