Our story began one fateful November night at Pindustry, a restaurant with an inside arcade and bowling alley near Denver, CO. Chloe had just moved to the area two weeks prior. Her first big move for a travel nurse contract and she was looking to explore the area. Arun had already lived there for two years at this point and was out for a night of fun. They played a game of bowling and Arun kicked Chloe’s butt by a long shot. The pair talked for hours until it was closing time. The next week, Arun pulled out all the stops and took Chloe to get her favorite food, ice cream. Again, the two conversed for some time before Arun told Chloe he would be leaving in a few days to travel back to India for a month and a half. Despite the distance, they kept in contact and when he arrived back, continued to see each other. It didn’t take long for the two to become inseparable and love to flourish.

Fast forward a wonderful year later to November 2023, Arun and Chloe decide to take a trip to Oahu, Hawaii for Chloe’s birthday. Arun had been dropping hints that he wanted to make this a special birthday for her and that he had a big dinner planned for the night before her birthday. On that day he told her to dress nicely since it was going to be at a fancy restaurant and that he wanted to stop at a popular beach spot to see the sunset. Chloe thought it was strange that he wanted to go to the beach in her heels and nice clothing before dinner, and even more so when Arun stopped at a Starbucks for a good 30 minutes before heading to the beach. Little did she know that he was stalling to give more time for what was about to ensue. The beach was split into two sides by a stone wall that could be seen over but not crossed. Upon walking onto the beach Chloe was able to see a photographer all set up across the way with a heart made of rose petals laid on the sand. They walked onto the wrong beach! Giggling on the walk over to the right beach, Chloe knew what was about to take place. Entering the correct side of the beach, the photographer beckoned the couple over and said he was waiting for another couple and wanted to test the lighting. After taking a few pictures, Arun got down on one knee and pulled out a small box. He opened it up to the ring of Chloe’s dreams and proceeded to ask her, “Will you?” to which her reply was an obvious “YES!”.
