In our first semester in seminary, we had a Monday night hermeneutics class together. While we didn't speak at first, Andrew finally introduced himself to Chloe after chapel. However, they did not speak again UNTIL....
November when all of the cohorts at MBTS went on a trip to the North American Mission Board headquarters in Georgia. During that three day trip, Andrew & Chloe began to talk and get to know each other. From this a friendship began to develop, and Andrew knew that he wanted to pursue Chloe. After a few weeks, Chloe began to pray about the possibility of getting to know Andrew more. Eventually, the two were able to hang out with close friends (thank you Mike & Marisol)! As Chloe and Marisol were leaving, Chloe asked Andrew for his phone number. A weeks later, they went on their first date: Mexican food and ice cream. After their first date, feelings grew very quickly, but above all, Andrew and Chloe sought the Lord for guidance and wisdom on how to navigate a new relationship. As weeks went on, they grew closer and closer, and spent more intentional time with one another. After a few weeks Andrew & Chloe fell in love and there was no denying that they knew that they wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other.
On February 10th, Andrew asked Chloe to marry him.
Our love story is not one for only ourselves, but one that we pray will continue to glorify God. Each day our relationship progresses, we are reminded of God's beautiful creation and design of covenant marriage. We are two people who are going to become one- to God be the glory.
