It all started back in 2017 when we met in high school through mutual friends. Kaleb and I didn’t know it at the time, but one random moment would end up changing everything.

Our first real interaction was when Kaleb asked me to wear his football jersey. It seemed like such a small thing, but it stuck with me. That simple gesture turned out to be the start of something way bigger.

At first, we were total opposites. I was more of the girly girl, and Kaleb was laid-back, outdoorsy, and totally at home in the woods. He spent more time hunting, fishing, and exploring nature than worrying about things like texting or social media. Honestly, getting a hold of him was a challenge in the beginning—his phone might as well have been a rock when he was out in the wild!

But as time went on, our differences brought us closer. I quickly realized I loved being outdoors just as much as he did. Whether it was fishing by the lake, hunting in the woods, or just soaking in the quiet of nature, we found joy in those simple moments together. Now, we can’t get enough of our outdoor adventures, and it’s become a huge part of who we are.

Along the way, we also became best friends. We love spending time together—whether it’s a lazy day at home or out in the woods, we’re happiest when we’re with each other. It’s not just about the big moments, but all the small, everyday things we get to share. We truly enjoy each other’s company, and that’s what makes our relationship so special.

On November 15, 2017, we officially became a couple—and from that day, we’ve been inseparable. We’ve grown together, supported each other, and fallen even more in love every day.

Then, on December 21st, Kaleb surprised me with the most perfect proposal at one of our favorite spots—Kozys Pizza. It was a celebration of my birthday, my college graduation, and the start of our next chapter. We were surrounded by family, and in that moment, I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be. He asked me to marry him, and of course, I said yes!

Looking back, it’s wild to see how far we’ve come since those high school days. We’ve come to realize that the best things in life sometimes come from the most unexpected combinations—and we couldn’t be more grateful for ours.
