Many of you already know our story, but some of you do not. We met in May of 2016 at Kent State, Stark Campus. We had a class together in the spring semester. The funny thing is, we did not talk to each other until the last possible day.

The week before finals, a bunch of us from that class got together to study. This group study session was the first time we had spoken a single word to each other. I (Arec), could not tell you what the first thing I said to her was, but I definitely spoke first to try and break the ice because she did not seem to talk much. I did not even remember her name at that point so I had to ask one of our mutual friends. A day later, I was hunting her down on social media. The first interaction we had outside of school was me replying to her tweet about her stomach growling. I told her that I could hear it all the way at my house. I know, kinda weird, but it worked. A week after that, we went on our first date to see Avengers: Infinity War and we ate at Steak and Shake. Arec will never admit to this, but he serenaded me (Chloe) in the car following our date. From that point on, the rest is history.

Three years after that, we got engaged on a weekend trip to Hocking Hills. No, Arec did not have any fancy speech prepared (he barely muttered a word), but he said all he needed to say. Arec here, I was a mess that whole week leading up to it and especially the night before. I had practiced what I would say, but I just could not get the words out.

I'm not sure either of us realized this was the journey we were beginning when we started talking, but neither of us are complaining about it. Thank you for being a part of the journey and being with us as we begin this new chapter!
