Dannie and Chloe met in fall of 2018. Dannie had been teaching at Ridgeview High School since 2014 as an inclusion teacher for students with Autism. Chloe had just graduated from Florida State and was asked to come back and teach theatre at her alma mater. For the entire first year, Dannie thought Chloe hated him because he would smile at her and wave while she had headphones in. He thought she was ignoring him.

Flash forward to the next school year and the two became friends. Dannie had a little crush on Chloe; he let her borrow his jacket, bought her sister mozzarella sticks, and bonded over their love for Florida State. He even asked her to go get ramen sometime. Chloe, however, was totally oblivious and went on as if he just wanted to be friends.

Then COVID hit. That July, Chloe was rewatching Naruto and happened across a funny naruto meme. Knowing that Dannie would enjoy it, she sent it to him on instagram. After that, the two started talking, and Dannie asked Chloe to dinner again (this time being clear it was a date). On August 1, 2020, Chloe and Dannie went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. They were enjoying themselves so much that they ended up across the street at Leaderboard Arcade Bar, and a dinner date turned into 6 hours of talking and getting to know each other. After the date, Dannie walked Chloe to her door and kissed her goodnight. After that moment, they were inseperable.

Chloe, however, told Dannie she was not his girlfriend until he asked her. So on August 21, Dannie picked Chloe up for work with a Starbucks cup. On the sleeve of the cup was written "will you be my girlfriend?". She, of course, said yes.

Over the course of the next 4 years, Dannie and Chloe learned a lot about each other and themselves. They moved in together and discovered so much about love. They had ups and downs, all that they took as opportunities to grow as individuals and as a couple. Like every couple, they weren't perfect; but they loved each other and wanted to create a life together.

In December of 2024, Dannie ordered Chloe's dream ring. It was pear shaped and gold, and everyone BUT Chloe knew about it. Her sister, Alana, waited at the house for it to be delivered and Chloe was none the wiser. Dannie at first hid the ring at the top of the closet; he knew she couldn't reach it there. Then, when Chloe started going on a cleaning rampage, Dannie moved it to the lockbox inside his truck. It sat there until April 19th, when Dannie finally popped the question in the Miller's Ale House parking lot. Even though he had a big plan for the proposal, Chloe thought it was better that it was just the two of them after a wonderful date day they had together.

Dannie and Chloe were then lucky enough to win a drawing at their dream wedding venue: the Clay Theatre. Now, they are extremely excited to have their loved ones come and celebrate with them on June 12, 2026.
