Hi everyone, welcome to our wedding website. We thought it would be a great idea to share with you our plans for the big day. We hope you use this website as a guide to help you plan your holiday.

On The Day:

 

Pick up will be at the following locations:

 









White Rocks Hotel&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3:40pm

 









Princess Hotel &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3:50pm

 









Lassi Hotel Guests* &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 4pm

 









(*Coach will stop on the main road, near the supermarket NOT go down to hotel as the large coach will struggle to get down the narrow road.)

 









Guests not staying at these hotels will have to make their own way to their nearest pick up point.

 









When everyone has been collected the coach should take approx. 20 minutes to get to the venue. We expect the ceremony to start around 4:45pm.

Pre Wedding Gatherings

Tuesday 24th&nbsp;July – Night Out.

 

We will be at Logos cocktail bar from sunset.&nbsp;This lovely bar is set up the hill from the main strip in Lassi. No pressure to attend, if you would like to join us, this is where we will be chilling out!

 





Wednesday 25th&nbsp;&nbsp;July – Beach Day.

 





Aiming to be at Costa Costa beach the majority of the day (Top up the tan before the wedding)! Again no pressure to go, but if you would like to see us, this is where we are. Rent A Car

If you plan on staying for a week or more, we would definitely recommend renting a car. Kefalonia is a beautiful island and it would be a shame to miss out! Our reccomendations:Myrtos Beach - Rated the 3rd best beach in the whole world. Melassini Lake - A lake in a cave which was discovered after a earthquake collapsed its roof.Sami - This is the town which Captin Corelli's Mandolin was filmed. Assos - Picturesque little village, take your camera! Nice spot for lunch. Fiscardo - Quiet little fishing village. An hour's drive from Lassi. One of Chris's favourite places. The food here was amazing. Our friends' recommendations:Argostoli Town - This has been the capital of Kefalonia since 1757 and boasts a variety of entertainment from boutique shops and relaxing coffee shops to lively bars and beaches nearby. You can even see the sea turtles swimming around in the Marina.Monastry of St Andreas - Just a 10 minute drive from Argostoli and definitely worth a visit. The damage from the 1953 earthquake unveiled older painted icons and is a fascinating place to visit.Boat tours - Kefalonia is located in the Ionian and has plenty for you to explore not only by land, but also by sea. Our favourite places in/near Lassi:

Costa Costa Beach - Located just next to White Rocks Hotel. This is where you will find us most days! 

Logos Cocktail Bar - A short uphill walk from the main road which runs through Lassi, this is perfect for drinking cocktails while the sun sets. 

 Argostoli - The capital. Head to the main square for a meal one evening or get up early one morning to see the turtules by the marina.

Lassi Water Wheel - I understand that here the sea water gets pasts through the water wheel through the caves, forming a nearly complete fresh water lake at the other side of the island in Sami.

Once Upon A Time..

Our story began in May 2012 and Jess had invited Chris to her 21st birthday party in Leeds. They'd known each other for many years previously, as Jess' brother Raf and Chris' sister Catherine had been friends since school. If you'd have asked Jess her thoughts on Chris in the past, she would have likely said "he's very annoying" - luckily for Chris, he managed to change her mind.In May 2012, Chris plucked up the courage to ask Jess out on a date, but before doing so and being the gentelman that he is, he wanted to ask Raf for his permission. Raf's answer to this was "you'd better ask her!"We have now been together nearly 5 years and some of our favourite moments include: the arrival our nieces and nephew (Harry, Sophie and Caitlin,) our trip to California (May 2014), weekends away in the lake district, Disneyland (Jess), Isle of man TT (Chris) and our engagement weekend in May 2016. We look forward to starting our married life making more happy memories with you.

Why Kefalonia?

When we started to think about our wedding, we both agreed that we wanted something a little different to that of a traditional English wedding. After getting engaged, Kefalonia was our next big holiday (September 2016) and we completely fell in love with the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful scenery.When searching Kefalonia for the perfect venue, Andromeda was our favourite by far. It will be exclusively for our guests and offers the most beautiful views of the mountains behind us and the coastline in front. Although Andromeda appears to be the most popular wedding venue on the island, it also serves as a popular restaurant and is well known for it's enjoyable Greek nights.We spent 10 days at White Rocks Hotel in Lassi and most of our days consisted of getting up for breakfast, heading down to the beach and then heading back up to the hotel to get ready to go out for dinner and drinks at night. We can't wait to do it again and share it all with you!

We stayed here in September 2016 and this is where we plan on staying for the week of the wedding. It's by far our favourite hotel in the Lassi area, but there are other options for you to explore. If you'd like to stay at White Rocks , this can be bought as a package deal through Jet 2, Thomson and Thomas Cook and we recommend comparing deals before proceeding.When we visited in September, we bought a package deal through Thomson and although the accommodation can be bought separately, we found it works out cheaper as a package. This hotel offers half board, with the choice of being able to swap your evening meal for lunch. We recommend you treat yourselves to one of the bungalows, which includes your own private balcony. There are rooms within the hotel, but be sure to upgrade to the sea view as it's definitely worth it!

White Rocks Hotel & Bungalows

A taxi from Agostoli airport to Lassi will cost appx 15 euros and take appx 10-15 minutes.

TRAVEL INFO

This hotel is closest to White Rocks. If your wanting a cheaper alternative and wanting to be near us, this is a good choice! You are within walking distance to Lassi. It offers both bed and breakfast and half board option. You can either buy your flights and accommodation separately, or as a package deal through Jet2. Just make sure you scout out both options to see which it cheaper! I would recommend this for families on a budget.

This is the best hotel for location, as it is in the centre of Lassi. Chris stayed here twice with his family. This can be bought as a package deal through Thomson, Thomas Cook or Jet 2. This can also be bought separately through booking.com. However check the price difference as you may notice if would be better value to go with the package deal?

Mediterranee Hotel

Those of you wishing to stay outside of Lassi must know that the day of the wedding they must make their own way to the venue. Please do not let this stop you from choosing another area of Kefalonia, we understand that many of you will want a holiday also. Skala is another popular resort, and it would be possible for you to get a taxi to the Andromeda. This would take appx 30 minutes. It is not possible for us to arrange a coach from this area as its located on the opposite coast to Lassi.

Wanting to book through a travel agent?I can highly recommend Sarah at Farsley travel. We have used her to book 2 of our holidays, including White Rocks for our wedding. If you mention us and give her a budget, she will be able to put together a package to suit you.
