When should we RSVP?
Because of the logistics involved for many of our guests who will be traveling, we kindly ask that you RSVP no later than February 28.
What's the best airport to use?
We recommend flying into San Francisco International Airport (SFO) if you're planning on spending any time in San Francisco during your trip.
However, if you happen to find a better flight into Oakland International Airport (OAK), note that both airports are about the same driving distance to Mill Valley.
What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?
The ceremony will take place at the Old Mill Park Amphitheater located behind the Mill Valley Public Library, followed by a celebratory dinner at The Junction. Our room rental is until 9:30pm so, for anyone who wants to keep the party going, we'll be heading over to an after-party at the best (er, only) local dive bar in town called the 2AM Club.
Mill Valley Public Library:
375 Throckmorton Avenue,
Mill Valley, CA
The Junction:
226 CA-1
Mill Valley, CA
2AM club:
380 Miller Ave
Mill Valley, CA
Is there parking at the ceremony location and The Junction?
For the ceremony, please note that street parking along Throckmorton Avenue is very limited. We highly recommend carpooling or using a rideshare service (Uber/Lyft) from your hotel. Friends who live in Mill Valley have shared that rideshare options are generally available; however, as this is a small town, we encourage you to plan ahead to avoid any last-minute stress.
If you’re staying at The Mill Valley Inn, the ceremony venue is just a pleasant seven-minute walk away — an easy option if you’d prefer to leave your car at the hotel.
The Junction is approximately a 10-minute drive from the ceremony location. Again, we recommend using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft for transportation between venues.
For those who plan to drive to The Junction, there is ample parking available: 50 spaces along the side of the building, plus 12 spaces in the front lot reserved for our guests. If additional parking is needed, guests may park in the Walgreens lot across the street and use the pedestrian crosswalk to access the venue.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our afternoon ceremony will be outdoors in a redwood grove, while cocktail hour and dinner will take place indoors. Guests will need to step on soil to take their seats during the ceremony. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
We have chosen not to block hotel rooms for our wedding. There are numerous hotels and other accommodation options in Mill Valley (and nearby in San Francisco), listed under the Travel tab of our website. We recommend booking early as the area is a popular destination. We're happy to help you find options and/or recommend neighborhoods; please reach out if you have any questions!
Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the wedding venues?
We will not be providing guest transportation throughout the wedding weekend. We recommend using ride-sharing services such as Uber or Lyft to get around.
What's the dress code for your wedding?
Our wedding will be semi-formal, so feel free to dress up in cocktail attire.
For men, we suggest a suit or blazer with a dress shirt and dress pants. A tie is optional.
For women, cocktail dresses, dressy separates, or dressy jumpsuits are great options.
What is the weather and climate like in the area?
April marks the beginning of the dry season in Northern California. You can expect pleasant, sunny weather with daytime temperatures in the 60s and evenings cooling down to the 50s. That said, it may be cool in the shade of the redwoods during the ceremony, so we recommend dressing in layers to stay comfortable.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We kindly ask that you keep our ceremony 'unplugged' by refraining from taking photos or videos. We want everyone to be fully present with us during this special moment. Don’t worry—our photographer will be there to capture it all!
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
Please respect our privacy and don't share photos of our wedding on social media, as we'd like to make a formal wedding announcement with our professional images.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guest list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend will be clearly listed on your invitation, and no additional guests can be accommodated.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We truly appreciate your understanding.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner serving wood-fired artisan pizzas, salads, craft beer, and a range of non-alcoholic drinks.
Will there be food options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
We'll have vegan and vegetarian options available, but if you have other dietary restrictions, please let us know ahead of time. We want you to feel comfortable and well-fed!
Will there be dancing?
While we'd never stop you from dancing, this is intended to be a more relaxed dinner event, so there's no DJ or dance floor. That being said, the room comes with a private bar, photo booth, foosball, shuffleboard, and we'll have private access to the patio with cornhole, Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, please check out our New Home Fund under the Registry tab of our website.
Will there be an after-party?
Yes! For anyone wanting to keep the party going, we'll be heading over to a local bar called the 2AM Club around 9:30pm.
What did we miss?
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions!
