What’s the attire?

Formal to semi-formal attire! Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Like most of the coast of Maine, the property is rocky and uneven at times. If you plan on wearing heels, we suggest wearing short heels or block heels. Please bring your dancing shoes and get ready to party and dance the night away with us. It can get chilly at night, so a light jacket would be a great idea, too!

What colors will the wedding party be wearing?

The wedding party will be wearing a dusty blue, but please feel free to wear any color, including any shade of blue, we don’t mind!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be outdoors. The reception will have a covered tent area with sides in case of rain.

Are kids invited?

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any children at our wedding!

Will there be an open bar?

Of course! We will have drink options for everyone, including non-alcoholic beverages.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We will be having an unplugged wedding ceremony. Please allow our fantastic photographer and videographer the ability to shoot without interference. After the ceremony, you can take pictures as you like!

How do we get to the venue? Will there be transportation from the hotel to the venue?

Yes, we will have a shuttle! We highly recommend taking the shuttle from the hotel to and from the venue, as we are getting married in a residential neighborhood and parking spots are very few and Ubers can be difficult to find in the area.

If we are staying a few nights in Portland, what is there to do?

We’re so glad you asked! We have many recommendations for what to do while in Portland, Maine, in the summer. For breakfast, we recommend a coffee and donut from our favorite bakery in South Portland, The Cookie Jar. Our favorite places to grab a bite to eat are: Gritty McDuff’s Brew Pub, Via Vecchia, DiMillo’s On the Water, and Saltwater Grille. Our favorite places to walk around are Portland Head Light (Fort Williams State Park), Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse, Bug Light Park, and Willard Beach. You can even take a trip to Two Lights State Park for an authentic Maine lobster roll. Other favorites of ours are taking a sailboat or boat tour of Casco Bay or walking around the shops along Commercial street as well as the bars on Wharf Street including Jefe Juans and Bar of Chocolate. You can also stop by East End Beach where there is a line of food trucks during the summer with a giant grassy promenade for picnics.
