Chris & Erin met on Hinge; the modern day version of Romeo & Juliet, except no one dies in the end. Chris was living in Ocala and Erin in Orlando. After deciding that their first date probably shouldn’t be the Grand Canyon, they met at a coffee shop in Winter Park. Two hours & two cups of coffee later, the rest was history. They spent every subsequent weekend together after. 3 months into dating, they traveled to Chicago together. Chris took her to a Cubs game and Erin tried to teach Chris about art. Chris told Erin he loved her on Halloween that year, and then proposed in Savannah, GA on November 5, 2022. Chris and Erin have been to many places together including NYC, the Bahamas, and most recently Hawaii. The couple bought a house last year and now live in Ocala together with their 3 cats and 1 dog Archer. Their relationship has been tested and challenged on multiple levels. But through every tribulation, their love for each other remained strong. Erin & Chris have enjoyed the last 4 years of laughter, tears, travels, and surprises together, and they can’t wait to share this special union with all of you.

The story behind the engagement ring:

In January of 2022, Chris and Erin traveled to the Bahamas for a short getaway. At this point it was approaching 3 years of being together. While staying at the Atlantis, Erin went jewelry shopping as one does, and she found a ring. But not just any ring… THE ring. She has always differed from diamonds, and instead gravitated towards gem stones. She found an emerald ring with a gold band reflecting the Art Deco style. It was perfect. The price was right, and it was special because they were in the Bahamas together! Well, Erin draggggggged Chris over to see it, but he didn’t budge. This upset Erin a bit, because she knew that Chris knew she wanted that ring and expected to get engaged soon-ish. She really had hoped Chris would get her that ring that she picked out, but he didn’t. She absolutely could not understand why. It was all very frustrating for her.

In the months to follow, Chris and Erin moved in together, got covid together, and dealt with a lot of medical issues. There was never “a perfect time” to get engaged. But life isn’t about perfect moments. Life is what you make of it together.

Fast forward NINE WHOLE MONTHS to Erin’s birthday trip to Savannah, Georgia. Chris gets down on one knee in a graveyard during the rain, and pulls out this gorgeous emerald green engagement ring on a gold band. HE HAD BOUGHT THE RING SECRETLY FROM THE BAHAMAS NINE MONTHS PRIOR! Chris kept it a secret from Erin the entire year. How he did this is a mystery still…

This ring is so special to the both of them. It symbolizes their strong love and resilience and dependability. Erin designed the theme of this wedding around this ring; emerald green & gold Art Deco details.
