While I was killing time in Ithaca. Waiting to pick up Kinleigh. I surfed the web and found a sexy beast. He called after a short banter session. I drilled him about his needs and wants and made it clear that I had high expectations. By the time we hung up, we knew exactly what our expectations were.

When I met him for the first time, I knew I was in trouble. He was(is) incredibly handsome, and those suspenders-- shoo wee. What a hunk! He was shy for the first part of the date. When he said he was taking me for queso and margaritas, I knew I had a friend for life. He waited for the restaurant to start talking (margaritas had to hit).

It wasn't long into the queso dips that we were both laughing until we had tears. Nothing screams soul mates more than when you laugh so hard, tequila comes out your nose. He looked at me full of love. We found out that we both dated Conklins- luckily, not the same one. After that, we were inseparable. We knew quickly that we shared the same ethics and values. We are both highly independent people who choose each other daily.

It all started with an App. I know... it is just how things are now-a-days. Anyway... after some messages and phone calls back and forth about our wants and needs in a partner, our desires and plans for life and such, it was on to our first date! First impressions are what they are, and pictures (on a dating site) are one thing worth a thousand words and such but in person: well, shoot scooter... this tall goddess of a woman with a depth of intellect to be admired, an honest upfront attitude, and well a physique to match.... so to Ernesto's in Owego for queso and margaritas. I was hooked but not reeled in yet. Then Kara's homemade Gumbo, while sick with COVID-19, sealed the deal. I knew she was it; this was, is, and always will be my person. The rest is history...
