Claire and Chris first met through a dating app around Christmas 2018. Naturally, Claire had her suspicions if Chris was real, especially when he asked to postpone meeting until he got back from a two week trip to Illinois. Luckily for Chris, Claire did not think he was catfishing her and they soon met in Princeton after his return. Following that date, Chris would go on to meet Claire at a mall, where he completely forgot about the fact under his winter coat he was wearing a cutoff raggedy T-shirt from grade school. Needless to say, he promptly panicked and rushed to the nearest UNIQLO for a cheap shirt. ANYWAYS, Chris then continued to impress by taking Claire to see high-class movies, such as Aquaman and going to nearby Michelin star pancake houses. With all this excitement, COVID brought everything into place. Chris quickly realized he couldn't imagine life without Claire and quickly set up a spontaneous trip to Illinois to introduce Claire to his family. After hearing his family rave about Claire, it was time to propose.

To set up the proposal, Chris asked his sister, Mariah, to join him on a test hike of the Delaware Water Gap Tammany Mountain hike. After some struggling up the first part of the hike, they found the perfect spot. Chris wondered if Claire would want to continue hiking, but Mariah assured him there was no possible way she would want to continue hiking since it was so difficult. So after finding the perfect spot, Chris orchestrated the planning with Mariah and Claire's sister, Melody. With everything working perfectly, of course it had to rain the scheduled day of the initial hike, causing Chris' nerves to shred and Claire to wonder why he was being so stubborn with refusing to postpone for a day. Eventually, Chris came around to the idea and the following day, Melody, Claire, Mariah and Chris went hiking on the perfect day. When time came for the proposal, large packs of dog walkers and random hikers caused Chris to almost have a meltdown, but eventually the timing was perfect and Claire was completely surprised. While everyone was excited, the next question was, "So, do we head back to the car or keep going up the mountain?" Without missing a beat, Claire replied, "We go up!". Never have I ever seen a more unfortunate look than on Mariah's face. However, everyone completed the hike and the views and overall experience were worth everything!

Now, both Chris and Claire are excited for their upcoming wedding day and can't wait to have everyone there to enjoy this happy celebration!
