Chris and I talked for a couple weeks before we met. During our conversations I told Chris that I had a bucketlist of things I would like to do. He kept that in mind for our first date.

For our first date, Chris picked me up and we went to a darling restaurant on Balboa Island and had lunch. Then he used something I had wanted to do from my bucketlist and arranged for us to kayak in the Newport Harbor. We rowed around and chatted. They may have given us a bum kayak because I think the kayak was sinking a bit, but we had a blast.

It was like we already knew each other, even though I could tell he was a little nervous. As we drove back toward my house, Chris mentioned that he had such a great time and asked if I would be open to our second date that night. I was having such a great time that I said "Sure!"

Chris dropped me off and went home. When he came back later to pick me up for our "2nd " date, he was dressed up and had flowers. We had such a fun night. We have been together ever since. We didn't want to waste any time not being together and since that "2 date" adventure, Chris and I have had so many firsts and great adventures. I became a bonus mom and he became a doggy dad. Our little family is such a blessing and we are so looking forward to all the adventures and blessings our future holds.
