Growing up in New Jersey, all Chris knew about Boston was that the Patriots robbed the Eagles of their first Super Bowl and it’s the place where the hated Celtics call home. For Demi growing up in Boston, all she knew about New Jersey was the Essex County Resource and Recovery Facility; also known as the never-ending cloud of smoke along the turnpike where they process 2800 tons of garbage each day. Because of this, she always thought the air quality was bad and maybe she had a valid reason to believe so.
Needless to say, the odds that these two would meet were slim to none to say the least, but life is best when you let go and let God.
So they did and on August 4th, 2021, a fateful swipe on Hinge took place and their story began.
From very early on they knew this relationship was special. They connected on the big (family, faith, values) and the small (both agreeing that condiments do not belong in the refrigerator!). Spending so much time together really helped them appreciate the variety of ways they were connected and aligned with one another. While they share a passion for competition, fitness, food, travel, and so many other things, their differences have also brought them closer together too. The more 'Go With the Flow' Chris has been served well by Demi's 'Let's Put a Plan Together' mindset and the more 'Structured and Prepared' Demi has been benefited Chris' 'You Got This' attitude.
Their journey isn't without its challenges, but knowing they have the purest & best of intentions for one another in their hearts, makes overcoming those challenges both rewarding and exciting.
They are proud of their journey and could go on for days detailing it, but they'll save it for the wedding. Just know that they knew it was real love when Demi, who is allergic to pet dander, not only adopted Chris' dog Chalé, but also went and got him a new sister, Lady the Irishdoodle. (Fitting that she's part Irish and from Boston) Their family of three is now 4, and potentially growing? Stay tuned! See you all at the wedding!!!!
