We met on our first day at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts in August of 2015. Chris was originally supposed to be in a different dorm, but got switched to a room right across the hall from Susannah at the last minute. We bumped into each other on the way to an orientation event and decided to sit together. After that, we started talking and hanging out all the time. Eventually, Chris told Susannah that he "really liked her" and asked her to go on a date. She said yes!

We went on our first date! We ate dinner at Posto in Somerville and saw the movie Trainwreck at the Somerville Theater. There was supposed to be a museum of "bad art" in the basement but unfortunately it was closed so we went out for ice cream at J.P. Licks instead. When we got back to campus, we decided to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend!

We took a trip to Vermont over a long weekend to celebrate our three year anniversary!

We graduated from Brandeis! Susannah majored in Math with a minor in French. Chris double majored in Math and Physics with a minor in Computer Science. Susannah began her Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Boston University that summer and soon after Chris got hired as a software consultant at Galatea Associates in Somerville.

We moved into our apartment together at Assembly Row in Somerville where we still live now!

Chris proposed to Susannah on her 27th birthday! When we returned from dinner out, the apartment was beautifully decorated with rose petals, candles, and a projector showing fireworks. Chris put on the same song that had been playing when he first asked Susannah out over eight years before. Chris had Susannah sit down and read her birthday card and at the end got down on one knee and popped the question. Of course, she said yes!
