No, the currency used in the country is Malaysian Ringgit. You can bring your USD and convert it to MYR at one of the many money exchangers in the city. The rates would most likely be more favourable in KL rather than in the US. If you do decide to convert your USD to MYR before coming to Malaysia, please request the conversion 2 weeks before your travel date as MYR is not a common currency that is requested in the US. This would also mean you would get a less favorable conversion rate.
