Hi there! Welcome to our story! We met when Ellie was in 6th grade, and Chris was in 9th grade! We were both on the swim team, Chris on the high school team at this time, but we had overlapping practices! It wasn't until Ellie's freshman year and Chris's junior year that we really noticed who each other were. We spent countless hours together at swim practices and meets! We had a pretty solid friendship at this time. We even went to homecoming together, with different dates! We thought this was all it would ever be for us. Thankfully, we were wrong, and the Lord had bigger plans. Fast forward to Ellie's sophomore year and Chris's senior year, prom time came, and Chris needed a date. Romantically, in a Walmart checkout lane, after prior rejection from his first choice of date, Chris asked Ellie to prom. How sweet! Going into prom, we both knew we were going just as friends. Well.... we know how that ended!
