Chrissy and Colin “met” for the first time in 2016, on a phone call at the encouragement of their mutual friend Shannon. Soon after they decided to hangout and Colin picked Chrissy up on a snowy night from her work in St. Vital, and they went for a cruise (err… drifting in the snow) around Winnipeg and the Subaru Legacy, and stopped for a quick bite at Earls (we can’t forget about the sticky toffee pudding!). A few months later they made their relationship official on their first “real” date on July 16th, 2016 when they went to see the movie Finding Dory.

5 years flew by and they packed up and moved on May 1st, 2021 to Calgary and started the next chapter of their lives. On May 28th, 2023 Colin popped the question every girl dreams of hearing! The two of them had even more to celebrate when they took possession of their first home on June 30th, 2023.

What Chrissy loves about Colin is that he is incredibly patient, and his willingness to lend a hand to help others in need. He encourages her to be the best version of herself, and makes her feel safe and comfortable. She knows she can always rely on him to be there for her and to support her in her life goals. Animals are very important to Chrissy. Colin’s love for their cat Momo, and his care and kindness towards all animals is yet another reason she fell head over heels in love!

What Colin loves about Chrissy is how thoughtful and empathetic she is. She puts the feelings of others before herself and she will do things with him that she may not want to do but knows they are important to him. Like hiking on an icy mountain and almost falling to her death! She encourages him to chase his dreams and supports him in his struggles. He loves when they spend time cooking together, and snuggling up together watching TV, especially with their cat Momo.

They are a team and they work together. They are each other's happy place, and they know that when they come home after a long work day they can be themselves and never feel judged ♥
