Our love story began over paragraphs and paragraphs of texts, the kind where your friends warn you that if you keep it up, you’ll most likely scare the other person off. But we instantly clicked and knew that we had met someone worth knowing. On our first date, we definitely felt the sparks but also an immediate sense of ease around each other. Neither of us wanted the date to end, so afterwards, we ended up walking Jaeger (Steven’s roommate’s dog) and before we knew it, we had been chatting for 7+ hours.

We fell in love very early into our relationship and quickly became each other’s person. Our families soon became each other’s families, and the rest is history…

Throughout our relationship, we have gone through numerous milestones together: job changes, grad school graduation, moving, and most recently, adopting the love of both of our lives, Obi. We have also had so many fun adventures along the way, as Puerto Rico gave us good food and beaches, Shenandoah treated us to the most perfect first dating anniversary, and Charleston gave us the memory of a lifetime as Christa said YES (before Steven could even finish getting the words out).

Whether it be our bigger adventures or even the most mundane of tasks, we are happiest when experiencing all of it together, and we know that will hold true as we grow older together.

As we eagerly await to be surrounded by our loved ones on our wedding day, we reflect on our love story with so much gratitude.
